Nearly 150 Connecticut credit union professionals gathered to celebrate the holidays and raise money and collect unwrapped gifts for Toys-For-Tots.
Plantsville, CT- After being waylayed by an early December storm, the credit union community reunited this year at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville to celebrate the holidays and the ever inspiring spirit of giving. The mountain of toys quickly grew as familiar and new faces entered into the beautifully decorated Wagon Room. A great dinner followed. After, the League announced the exciting results of the 22nd annual Charitable Foundation Raffle and new League President/CEO Jill Nowacki gave an address.
Chapter meetings were framed by the customary raffle and ended with a check presentation to Marines from the Toys For Tots Foundation of $2,050 to go along with the truck load of toys donated. Marching through the tables, Marines thanked everyone for the support and invited one and all to come help sort toys this weekend.
For more information on the foundation and to sign up to help sort toys, search for opportunities in your county on the Toy’s for Tots webpage.
Thanks to all who came to enjoy the evening and donate. It was a truly wonderful night!
