Assistant Branch Manager, Stratford

Twenty million dollar credit union in greater Stratford area seeking qualified candidate for the position of Assistant Branch Manager. As a member of the management team, he/she is responsible for ensuring financial stability commensurate with the best interest of the members, employees, and the credit union. Qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • 7+ years of experience in office management capacity
  • Under the direction of the Credit Union Manager supervise, direct, and train staff in computer applications and supervise operational management of the staff on a daily basis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferably with a concentration in management and/or accounting, or possess equivalent experience
  • Energetic individual who is extremely organized, professional, and detail oriented
  • Promote effective employee relations while maintaining a highly motivated, well-trained staff
  • Familiarity with approving loan applications and disbursing loans
  • Experience in producing and filing reports according to state and federal regulations
  • Direct activities in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors while also recommending new policies/procedures where acceptable
  • Experience in maintaining and growing an investment portfolio
  • Creative ideas for promoting credit union products and services through innovative technology and electronic channels of delivery
  • Work with the auditor to ensure compliance with internal controls as well as federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration
