
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist members in a friendly and professional manner.
- Respond to member inquiries in person, by phone, or via email regarding account information, services, and policies.
- Process transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and other financial transactions.
- Open and close accounts (savings, checking, and certificates of deposit).
- Assist members in understanding credit union products and services, offering solutions based on individual needs.
- Promote and cross-sell credit union products, services, and membership benefits.
- Resolve member issues or complaints promptly and escalate to appropriate personnel when needed.
- Maintain and update member account information in the credit union system.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as credit union policies and procedures.
- Assist with member outreach and engagement, including maintaining an accurate database of member information.
- Process loan applications, prepare required documentation, and ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Maintain confidentiality of member information at all times.
- Ensure the security and accuracy of transactions and member records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s degree in business or related field (preferred).
- Prior experience in a customer service or financial institution setting is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with diverse individuals.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and credit union software (preferred).
- Ability to resolve conflicts and handle member concerns in a professional manner.
- Knowledge of financial products, services, and regulations is a plus.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds as needed (e.g., boxes of documents or promotional materials).
- Ability to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
Working Conditions:
- Work is primarily in a typical office environment.
