GENERAL FUNCTION

Lead the strategic growth and innovation of deposit products and transactional banking services, ensuring a superior member experience. Drive product development, digital adoption, and promotional campaigns while optimizing profitability. Collaborate with executive leadership to align initiatives with the Credit Union’s mission and strategic goals.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  1.   Champion a culture of integrity, empowerment, respect, and commitment, fostering positive change within the Credit Union and the communities we serve.
  2.   Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance deposit product engagement, profitability, and member satisfaction.
  3.   Leverage member insights and market trends to refine deposit portfolios, ensuring competitive offerings and optimal growth.
  4.   Collaborate with Marketing and Member Experience teams to design and implement strategies that drive adoption and utilization of products.
  5.   Continuously assess pricing, processes, and product mix to balance growth objectives with risk tolerance.
  6.   Stay informed on industry trends and competitive positioning to enhance the Credit Union’s market presence.
  7.   Partner with Member Experience teams to deepen member relationships, ensuring a seamless and value-driven banking experience.
  8.   Work closely with Finance to align product pricing, performance goals, and profitability metrics.
  9.   Influence internal and external stakeholders to drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
  10.   Foster a collaborative sales environment in alignment with strategic marketing plans to maximize product awareness and member engagement.
  11.   Lead, mentor, and develop teams to meet and exceed performance objectives while upholding service excellence.
  12.   Act as a subject matter expert on deposit products and emerging trends in transactional banking.
  13.   Implement policies and practices that ensure compliance while maintaining a strong member-first focus.
  14.   Partner with executive leadership to enhance brand awareness and community engagement.
  15.   Collaborate with executive leadership on retail sales and service strategies, aligning with the Credit Union’s Strategic Plan.
  16.   Drive new business initiatives, identifying opportunities for product innovation and market expansion.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  1.   4-year college degree with a broad knowledge of general professional or specialized technical field.
  2.   A minimum of 10 years related experience in a financial institution.
  3.   Minimum 7 years’ experience in product management, pricing and value proposition strategies, and strategic development across the full consumer credit spectrum
  4.   Experience with digital product growth and digital product marketing
  5.   3+ years’ experience in a leadership role, managing professionals.
  6.   In-depth knowledge of financial products and services; expertise in commercial products and service including small business banking.
  7.   Ability to effectively interface with members, employees, senior staff and board members.
  8.   Ability to communicate in an open, candid, clear and consistent manner with exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills to effectively convey goals and initiatives to staff and management.
  9.   Analytical creativity, negotiation and problem-solving skills using wide range of information and perspective to identify current conditions and needs.
  10.   Ability to understand organization’s vision, mission and strategies and form goals.
