FCU donates $10,000 to the Newington Food Bank

When Pam Wassik learned HFCU was donating $10,000 to the Newington Food Bank, “it took [her] breath away because that morning [she] looked on the shelves, and they were bare.”

Pam, who works in Human Services in Newington, and Ed Danek, President & CEO of HFCU, recently spoke with Brian Shactman at WTIC News/Talk 1080 about the Hartford Federal Credit Union Gives 2023 campaign. This $250,000 charitable giving initiative provides donations to organizations that provide vital services to people of modest means. HFCU has donated $100,000 and has $150,000 left to go! In addition to the Newington Food Bank, HFCU has contributed to: Joan C. Dauber Food Bank at Saint Francis Hospital, The Village for Families & Children, South Windsor Food and Fuel Bank, My Sister's Place, Windsor Food and Fuel Bank, Simsbury Food Pantry, Safe Net Ministries, Malta House of Care Clinic, and Operation Fuel, Inc.
