Hartford Federal Donates to Local Food Pantry

According to estimates from Feeding America, more than 380,000 (1 in 10) Connecticut residents struggle with hunger and more than 83,000 children are food insecure. With this in mind, Hartford Federal Credit Union donated $2,500 to the Simsbury Food Pantry. Branch Manager Kaydia Stewart (right) presented the check to Rachel Loveland from Simsbury Social Services. The Food Pantry offers non-perishable food items as well as toiletries, household cleaning products, and paper goods to eligible Simsbury residents. This donation, like other contributions to the South Windsor Food and Fuel Bank, the Newington Food Bank, and Safe Net Ministries, is part of the Hartford Federal Credit Union Gives 2024 campaign!
