Magic in the Mission: Quarterly Employee Spotlight
Celebrating Outstanding Service and Dedication
At the heart of our organization are individuals whose commitment, creativity, and care bring our mission to life every day. Magic in the Mission is our quarterly spotlight honoring team members who go above and beyond in service, embodying our values and inspiring those around them.
Each quarter, we shine a light on one extraordinary employee whose work exemplifies excellence, compassion, and impact. Through their stories, we celebrate not only their achievements but the spirit that drives our mission forward.
Join us as we recognize the people who create the “magic” behind the scenes — the changemakers, the quiet leaders, and the everyday heroes who make a lasting difference.

In Their Words
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I enjoy knowing that my work directly supports credit unions in serving their members better. Credit unions play a meaningful role in improving financial well-being, and helping them strengthen their impact is incredibly rewarding. Being part of that positive ripple effect is what motivates me most.
Favorite part of working at the League:
My favorite part of working at the League is the sense of purpose and collaboration. I get to work with people who genuinely care about helping others and strengthening our communities. I also enjoy creating opportunities through social media, communication, and events that keep everyone informed, engaged, and connected.
Bringing people together to share ideas, celebrate successes, and learn from one another is one of the highlights of what I do.
Beyond the Office
Outside of work, you’ll often find her staying active — whether it's out for a run or in a hot yoga studio. These activities help her stay energized and grounded, just like her approach to her work: focused, balanced, and fully present.
Go-to quote:
Progress, not perfection. It’s simple, but powerful. It reminds you that small, consistent steps forward matter more than trying to be flawless. Life’s too messy for perfection anyway, and growth comes from doing, learning, and improving.
Quick Q&A
What motivates you?
I’m motivated by many things — making a positive impact, connecting people, creating meaningful work — but I’ll admit, a good cup of coffee definitely helps fuel the process.
Advice for new employees:
Be open to learning. Your job description is a starting point. Gaining broader knowledge makes you more valuable.
If you could switch roles for a day...
If I could switch roles for a day, I’d love to be a field researcher or explorer, someone who gets to be out in the world observing, learning, and gathering real-time information directly from people and places. It’s a role built on curiosity, discovery, and storytelling, which lines up well with what I enjoy: understanding things deeply and sharing that knowledge in meaningful ways.
Proudest moment at work:
My proudest moment at work was taking the reins of our events and education side and achieving my first sold-out one. Seeing all the planning, coordination, and creativitycome together and watching the event fill to capacity was an incredible accomplishment.
Kat brings warmth, creativity, and unwavering dedication to our mission. She’s a thoughtful team player who leads with kindness and consistently steps up to support both our organization and the credit unions we serve. Whether planning events, crafting communications, or building connections, she does it with purpose and heart. Her collaborative spirit helps create meaningful impact every day.
Thank you, Kat, for the magic you bring to the mission.
