President's Message

Communication, as they say, is key. And none of us is a perfect communicator. Take the picture at the top of this article. The headline could be EXECUTIVES MEET IN CONFERENCE ROOM. Boring, right?  

Greetings from Sunny Rainy San Diego where this week, League Presidents and LSC executives gathered as a system with AACUL to share our collective experience and wisdom and bring home more value to you, our members. The headline may be boring, but the energy and enthusiasm was electric.  

Today we received an excellent presentation from CUNA Mutual Group on lessons learned from the pandemic about the changing workplace and workforce. As we emerge from a pandemic that created a protracted business disruption, it has never been more important and even valuable for credit unions to reimagine the employee experience. Healthy, happy employees are good for business, good for members, and contribute to the systemwide Financial Well-Being For All initiative. This analysis and discussion deserve wider distribution and we are working on bringing it home to Connecticut to benefit you and your credit union.
