President's Message
If you haven’t done so yet, clear your calendar on Tuesday, November 16 for the Connecticut Executive Forum, presented by NASCUS together with the Connecticut Department of Banking and the Credit Union League of Connecticut. Although this annual forum is a highlight of the year and packed full of valuable information, it also provides a valuable opportunity to network with a diverse set of colleagues across the credit union spectrum. Let’s get a big group together to thank NASCUS President & CEO Lucy Ito for her dedicated service and wish her well as she retires at the end of 2021!
The Connecticut Executive Forum is a day-long program and has something for everyone: board members, committee members, and management. This year, the forum will be on auto lending fraud, internal controls, and, of course, the latest in regulatory developments.
The forum begins with brief remarks from Commissioner Jorge L. Perez of the Connecticut Department of Banking, and me. Lucy Ito will share her perspective on national issues affecting credit unions.
Frank Drake, Senior Counsel, Smith Debnam Narron Drake Saintsing & Myers, LLP will discuss current the state of Auto Lending Fraud in today’s marketplace. Ken Otsuka, CUNA Mutual Group will deliver a presentation on Internal Controls & Fraud.
Rounding out the forum, Brian Knight, EVP & General Counsel, NASCUS will provide the always engaging and even more valuable regulatory update.
Connecticut Executive Forum: Nov. 16, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (at the Sheraton Hartford South Hotel, Rocky Hill, CT).
See you soon,
Bruce
