US Congressman Jim Himes Visits Members Credit Union

Congressman Jim Himes took time out of his busy schedule to visit Members Credit Union while home for session break. Members CU appreciated the opportunity to show him their new building and talk about opportunities and challenges of Members CU; including liquidity challenges in meeting their borrowing demand; and those of their members, especially immigrant and ITIN members’ struggles to assimilate into the US financial system to make a better life for themselves and their families. Board Chair Brian Wood, Board Vice Chair Gloria Fernandez-Tearte and Board Member Edith Targonski, as well as our management team enjoyed a great conversation with the Congressman and thanked him for his support of Members CU and the CDFI fund.
