33rd Annual Raffle
We are excited to celebrate our 33rd annual raffle which supports the mission of the foundation of helping residents and communities build and maintain independence through assistance initiatives, financial education, professional development programs, and helping credit unions to do the same.
With recent annual raffles being successful, we kept everything the same as the last two years with increased top prizes of $5,000, $2,500 and $500 for our top three winners while keeping the total value of all prizes awarded to more than $10,000.
For the 2024 annual raffle, we kept the $5 ticket price in place and printed only 15,000 tickets which means your members’ odds of winning are 1 in 15,000—better than the odds of winning the lottery!
Funds from the raffle go to support CUBFI’s mission and initiatives, which include:
- Providing FiCEP (CUNA’s certified financial counseling program) to CT Credit Union professionals, certifying more than 100 employees in three years.
- Providing financial education to thousands of high school students each year.
- Growing our small credit union fund.
- Providing Exploring the Why Workshop.
- Community donations to non-profit organizations.
- Sending three credit unions professionals through the National Credit Union Foundation’s development education training.
- Professional development scholarships for America’s Credit Unions’ GAC and our multi-state convention—APEX.
I would also like to thank American Eagle Financial Credit Union for hosting the 2024 annual raffle drawing at their headquarters in East Hartford, which will be live-streamed on the CT Credit Unions Facebook page. The drawing takes place on Friday, December 13th at 2 p.m.
