American Eagle donates $3,200 to the Maui Food Bank

American Eagle Financial Credit Union (AEFCU) donated $3,200 to support the Credit Unions of Maui* Coalition’s annual food drive campaign to support the Maui community after the devastating wildfires. Half of the donation—to the Maui Food Bank—was donated personally by members of American Eagle’s Board of Directors and the second half was a match from AEFCU’s community relations budget.

"American Eagle is passionate about enriching the lives of our communities and creating a world where financial freedom is a reality,” said AEFCU President & CEO Howard Brady. “Maui has suffered a devastating natural disaster, and the Maui Food Bank’s mission to ensure no one in their community is hungry is aligned with our own efforts to strengthen our communities.

“The Maui Food Bank does more than just nourish their community. They provide disaster relief tools, supplies and education to their community, as well as, many youth and senior programs to ensure people have year-round access to food. We are happy to help support the Maui community in their time of need,” Brady added.

The Maui Food Bank provides the Maui community with access to safe, nutritious food through programs including:

  • Aloha Backpack Buddies
