ConnexCares Donates $4,000 to Four Local Nonprofit Organizations

As part of their philanthropic initiative, ConnexCares, Connex donated a total of $4,000 to four local nonprofit organizations, representing 100 percent of the fees collected for the fourth quarter of 2023 at the Connex coin-cashing machines. Coin-cashing machines are available to members for a 5% fee and non-members for a 7% fee. 

A donation of $1,000 was made to Adelbrook.

Adelbrook is committed to being the premier resource for children, families, and communities to meet the needs of youth and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other behavioral and developmental challenges. 

A donation of $1,000 was made to the Eli’s Garden of Healing.

Eli’s Garden of Healing provides programs and support to those who have lost loved ones to violence. By offering support, resources, and a nurturing environment, they strive to build a community that rejects violence and fosters a peaceful community. 

A donation of $1,000 was made to Goodwill of Southern New England. 

Goodwill of Southern New England is a progressive, community-based organization committed to the mission of enhancing employment, educational, social, and recreational opportunities for people with disabilities and other challenges.

A donation of $1,000 was made to Benhaven.

Benhaven provides a variety of supports and services to individuals and families living with autism, pervasive developmental disabilities and related disabilities. Their mission is to enable people with autism and developmental disorders to participate in community life and experience happiness and personal satisfaction. 


More than $14,000 is donated annually through the Coins-for-Change program. ConnexCares invites anyone, including those who are not members of the credit union, to use these coin-counting machines located at our branches in North Haven, Guilford, Hamden, Meriden, Monroe, New Haven, and Orange.
