Credit Union VP Becomes Plainville Community Schools Mentor

Fred Brown, UBI's VP of Marketing, recently began as a Plainville Community Schools mentor.

After being matched with a student, Fred visits weekly to spend time with his "mentee." Usually this involves tossing a football around or playing board games.

Sue Bradley, the Career Center / Volunteer Program Coordinator for Plainville Community Schools said "We are profoundly grateful for the enriching partnership with UBI Federal Credit Union and for the team members who have embraced mentorship roles in our school district. Our students are incredibly lucky to have a new positive adult role model and friend in their lives."

"I grew up without a father, so I have first-hand knowledge and experience of what it's like to want a consistent male figure in your life." - Fred Brown.
