Hartford Federal Credit Union Supports The Open Hearth with $10,000 Donation
Hartford Federal Credit Union (HFCU) contributed $10,000 to The Open Hearth in Hartford. This donation is part of its larger charitable initiative, Hartford Federal Credit Union Gives 2023, through which they will donate $250,000 this year to organizations providing essential services to individuals of modest means.
The Open Hearth's longstanding commitment to empowering homeless men in need aligns seamlessly with HFCU's commitment to community well-being. The $10,000 contribution is a testament to the shared goal of creating positive change through collective action. The funds will contribute to the organization's mission of enhancing self-help, self-respect, and dignity among its beneficiaries, enabling them to achieve their full potential as responsible citizens of Greater Hartford and Connecticut.

Hartford Federal Credit Union Gives 2023 has already seen substantial contributions, with over $150,000 donated to various organizations, including the Joan C. Dauber Food Bank at St. Francis Hospital, The Village for Families & Children, South Windsor Food & Fuel Bank, My Sisters’ Place, Windsor Food and Fuel Bank, Simsbury Food Pantry, Safe Net Ministries, Newington Food Bank, Malta House of Care, Operation Fuel, Curtis D. Robinson Center for Health Equity, Holcomb Farm, Community Renewal Team Meals on Wheels, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Camp Courant, and now The Open Hearth.
