Northeast Small Credit Union Conference | Credit Union League of Connecticut

The Northeast Small Credit Union Conference was held at the beginning of this week in Philadelphia, PA. Over 80 small credit union professionals and volunteers from across the Northeast were in attendance to network, share ideas, and discuss such topics as growth, member engagement, leadership and staffing, compliance, creating a strong niche, succession planning, attracting new members, lending, vendor management, and technology. CT credit unions had a very strong showing, with 15 credit union leaders and 3 League staff members in attendance. Throughout the conference, the expertise, knowledge, and esteem of CT credit unions’ were showcased as Lori Herrick served as a panelist on leadership and staffing, Kathy Chartier served as a panelist on lending, Bruce Adams spoke to attendees on behalf of CT Credit Unions and Judy Britt facilitated the session on compliance. Also, thank you to Melissa Robinson, VP of Operations and Education for the League, for helping to plan the event on behalf of our small credit unions. We look forward to more events in the future that bring together our credit union professionals to strengthen our credit union system here in CT and nationally.
