Responsibilities

• Process loan applications, insurance loans, and collateral protection insurance.
• Ensure all loan documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant.
• Assist members by explaining loan terms, insurance requirements, policies, and options.
• Disburse loans and ensure all required paperwork and system information are accurate.
• Review loan files to verify required documents, signatures, notices, and data.
• Maintain organized and updated lending department files.
• Cross-sell value-added products (e.g., GAP, VSI, Extended Warranty, Life & Disability Insurance).
• Respond to member inquiries via phone and in person.
• Promote credit union products and services during member interactions.
• Ensure compliance with all lending regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to learn internal loan processing systems

Preferred:

• Experience with financial institution lending platforms
• Bilingual (Spanish)
• Experience in relationship-based selling or product referrals
